IMC Golden Anchor Awards 2015 (Middle East) honors the HR Professionals in the Maritime Industry

Sharjah: International Maritime Club (IMC) hosted IMC Golden Anchor Awards 2015 (Middle East) at Ocean Blue (AIMRI), Sharjah, UAE on 25th November 2015.

After the successful culmination of IMC Golden Helm Awards and IMC Golden Bell Awards, IMC organised its first ever, IMC Golden Anchor Awards to recognise the Maritime and Offshore HR professionals with. The award ceremony honoured the professionals who have strived relentlessly to align employee needs with organizational objectives facilitating a harmonious employer – employee relationship. The nominations for the awards were received from various sectors of the maritime industry and were reviewed by the IMC panel of judges. The awards were purely based on individual merits and their personal contribution for furthering the developments in the maritime industry. The event was telecast live.

The President of the Club, Mr. Sohan Roy stated how important a HR or Human Resources Department is to an organization. They help the organization achieve high performance, morale and satisfaction levels throughout the workforce, by creating ways to strengthen the employer-employee relationship. This award is for their dedication and the support they provide for an organisation to grow and excel.

The IMC Golden Anchor Award for Best Training Provider of the Year Leader – Maritime was presented to Kawthar Kazim, Director - Human Resource and Development, RTA; Award for Best Training Provider of the year Leader – Offshore was given to Kevin Dalgarno, Training Manager, Noble Drilling; Award for Best Services to Training & Development – Maritime was presented to Cheikh Atbi, Head of Training & Competency, IRSHAD, Award for Best Services to Training & Development – Offshore was bestowed upon Neela Pratap, Manager – Training, ENSCO; Award for Outstanding Learning Leader – Maritime was presented to Maria Gibson, HR Manager, Topaz and Outstanding Learning Leader – Offshore was bestowed upon Rita Al Saab HR Director, Petrofac

Award for HR Professional of the Year – Maritime was given to Richard Loving, Senior Director, J-Ray Mcdermott; HR Professional of the Year – Offshore Award was bestowed upon Julian Panther, Group Human Resources Manager, Lamprell; Best Leader: Training & Development Team of the Year – Maritime was bestowed upon Nouf Ali Al Hammadi, Manager of Training and Emiratization, ADSB; Best Leader: Training & Development Team of the Year – Offshore was presented to Salaheddin Turki, Training and Development Manager, NDC; HR Excellence Award – Maritime was bestowed upon Abdulla Abdul Rahman Abdulla Ali, Director Human Resource, Dubai Municipality and HR Excellence Award – Offshore was presented to Linda Murray, Human Resource Director, GMS
