The Association of Malaysia’s Maritime Professionals, IKHTISAS KELAUTAN MALAYSIA (IKMAL), has officially joined The International Maritime Club (IMC)!
The Association of Malaysia’s Maritime Professionals, known as IKHTISAS KELAUTAN MALAYSIA (IKMAL), has officially joined The International Maritime Club (IMC). This strategic move marks a significant milestone for IKMAL, a non-governmental organization (NGO) dedicated to Malaysia’s seagoing and shore-based officers. These officers hold certificates of competency (CoC) of any grade, pilot licenses issued by authorized Malaysian agencies, or appropriate maritime-affiliated degrees. Additionally, individuals with other degrees who have worked for a substantial duration within the maritime industry are also a part of IKMAL. The objectives of IKMAL are to represent, promote, and protect the interests and welfare of IKMAL’s registered members by complying with internationally recognized standard operating procedures. IKMAL also aims to provide an organization and membership for individuals practicing or aspiring to practice the maritime profession and its related activities. It seeks to enhance the knowledge, interests, and technical competence of its members while promoting their continual professional development. With this partnership with IMC, IKMAL members can look forward to more opportunities for career growth and peer-to-peer networking.
